Fits
to a tee

Among the handmade apparel at Radek Szczesnys new Williamsburg
boutique-gallery, featuring fashion, accessories, furniture
and music, is The Wedding Tee ($290), a white T-shirt embellished
with pieces of lace, including the briefest of trains on the
back.
Designed by Bushwicks Tim Dubitsky and Bradley Varner,
of Brooklyn Heights, the tee was initially designed for same-sex
marriages, Dubitsky told The Brooklyn Bride.
We accept the responsibility of being cultural conversationalists,
said Dubitsky about the recent media attention given to legalizing
gay marriage. But we dont want to be exclusive,
coming from the other side. So this shirt could be worn by
the wedding party, or just the guest alone or a bridesmaid.
Everybody wants to look as good as the bride.
Szczesny, whose store carries most of the designers
debut collection of mens clothing, said he loves the
handmade quality of The Wedding Tee, and that the duo are
stretching a lot of limits including naming their
collection, {_______} thats not a typo.
The Wedding Tee speaks to the casual trend taking over
things, said Dubitsky. Its still dressy
and loud, yet casual. It fits into a range of wedding settings,
from casual to formal. Its a bit political, but all
about the celebration.
If this is the shirt that the wedding party wears to
the rehearsal dinner, they wouldnt overshadow the bride,
and looking down the table, it will look like a big, exploded
wedding dress.
